At GXO, we’re expanding and looking for dedicated Drivers Mates to join our energetic team at Dartford, Kent working on our IKEA contract. As a Drivers Mate you will be delivering furniture for IKEA as part of a 2-person delivery team. Customer service will be at the heart of this role!

This is a full time, permanent role you will be working 48 hours per week on a shift pattern of 5 days on, 3 days off over an 8-week rota with start times between 05:00 – 06:00.

What you will do on a typical day:

  • Working as a 2-person delivery team, delivering furniture products into a room of choice at customers' homes and providing a first-class customer service experience
  • Responsible for calling customers ahead of time to advise of ETA and carry out pre delivery assessment of the property
  • Provide feedback to site regarding any issues during deliveries
  • Accurately record delivery outcomes on to Flexi Pod system

What you need to succeed at GXO:

  • This is a physically demanding role which includes lifting and shifting of furniture
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential
  • Time management skills and comfortable in working to deadlines
  • Ability to multitask and problem solve
  • DBS security check will be completed on the successful candidate
