Driver Hire Edinburgh City are currently recruiting Driver’s Mates to join our team and support a variety of well-established clients across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible, ad-hoc work, with shifts available depending on client requirements and your availability.
🛠️ The Role
As a Driver’s Mate, Your Duties May Include
- Assisting the driver with deliveries and collections
- Loading and unloading goods
- Helping to safely move items to and from vehicles
- Assisting with multi-drop deliveries where required
- Completing delivery and collection duties as part of a two-person team
- Providing a professional and helpful service to customers
- Following all relevant health & safety procedures

✅ What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a Driver’s Mate, warehouse, delivery or manual handling role is beneficial but not essential
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Reliable and punctual
- Good attitude and willingness to work
- Able to work well as part of a team
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Flexible to work different shifts depending on client requirements
