About the Role

We are an early-stage drone-autonomy startup looking for a skilled maker in the Birmingham area to help design, 3D print, and assemble the physical side of our aircraft.

This is an occasional, hourly consultancy role, ideal for a freelancer or experienced tinkerer looking for flexible, hands-on hardware projects. We move fast, so we need someone who can turn concepts into flight-ready parts quickly.

🛠️ What You’ll Do

  • Design and 3D print custom mounts, cases, and housings for flight controllers and sensors (and supply the raw CAD files).
  • Build and assemble multirotor and fixed-wing builds, including custom electronics fitting and foam cutting.
  • Repair, rebuild, and optimize existing aircraft.
  • Turn rough briefs into practical, flight-ready hardware solutions without needing step-by-step instructions.
  • Work from your own studio and drop finished builds off with us in Birmingham.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
