Support frontline policing with specialist drug expertise.
As Drug Support Supervisor, you will provide day-to-day supervision of the Drug Support Unit and guidance around the handling, packaging, movement, safe storage, and disposal of controlled drugs.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Provide liaison, internally and externally, in respect of controlled drug investigations.
- Manage the provision of evidential drug identification in respect of drug possession offences in line with EDIT procedures.
- Co-ordinate enquiries in respect of pre-cursor chemicals and illicit laboratories.
The must haves
- Qualification and/or experience of research and/or development in the field of controlled drugs, understanding of the use, causes, and effects of controlled drugs.
- Proven experience of and involvement in drug investigations.
- Experience and ability to supervise, mentor, and train staff.
