Job Title: Drupal Developer (Contract)

Onsite in Belfast once per week

Job Description

This contract role offers an experienced Drupal Developer the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of digital solutions for a government customer over a six-month period. You will use your Drupal expertise to build, enhance, and maintain robust, user-focused web applications in a structured and collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop Drupal-based web applications and components to meet project requirements for a government customer.
  • Implement clean, maintainable, and well-documented code within the Drupal framework.
  • Configure and customise Drupal modules and themes to support required functionality and user experience.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and technical colleagues to translate functional requirements into effective Drupal solutions.
  • Contribute to the overall solution design, ensuring scalability, security, and performance within Drupal implementations.
  • Support ongoing enhancements and updates to existing Drupal sites during the contract period.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience in Drupal design and development.
  • Strong understanding of Drupal architecture, modules, and theming.
  • Ability to translate requirements into practical Drupal solutions.
  • Experience building and maintaining Drupal-based web applications.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working on projects for public sector or government customers.
  • Familiarity with best practices in web accessibility, performance, and security.
  • Ability to work effectively within defined project timelines, including fixed-term contracts.
