Salary: £13.52ph plus Veolia benefits
Hours: 40 per week
Monday - Friday 05:30 hrs - 1400 hrs plus overtime. (first 15min break paid plus 30 min lunch break unpaid)
Saturday shift available as overtime @ 1.25 rate
Location: Off Winterbottom Lane, Mere, Knutsford, WA16 0QQ

This facility is one of the largest livestock bedding suppliers in the country with over 40 years of experience in producing and supplying a range of high-quality animal bedding.

What will you be doing?

  • Operating a dryer, producing paper bedding material for Poultry and Dairy
  • Monitor and maintain the drying process ensuring all machines are operating effectively within their design parameters.
  • Monitor temperatures and moisture levels in feedstocks, airflows and products to achieve optimum drying performance.
  • Keep accurate records of production including waste and any issues relating to the drying process
  • Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning filters and checking bearings and belts etc.
  • Load and unload lorries (Waking floors)
  • Operate loading shovel and telehandler
  • General Housekeeping

What are we looking for?

  • A wealth of experience in a production environment
  • Counterbalance Loading shovel or JCB loader experience is desirable
  • Someone used to working in a team
