Role Description
The Drylining Contracts Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Portsmouth, overseeing drylining activities across designated construction projects. Day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Supervising site teams
- Coordinating labor and materials
- Ensuring drylining works are delivered to specification, on schedule, and within budget

The role involves:

- Liaising with project managers, clients, and subcontractors
- Conducting site inspections
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
The supervisor will:
- Monitor progress
- Address on-site issues
- Maintain accurate records
- Contribute to quality control and risk management
This position requires a hands-on approach, frequent site presence, and proactive leadership to keep projects running smoothly.
Qualifications
- Practical experience in drylining or related interior fit-out trades, with a strong understanding of construction methods and site procedures.
- Proven ability to supervise site teams, coordinate subcontractors, and manage resources effectively on active construction sites.
- Knowledge of health and safety legislation, safe working practices, and risk assessment processes within the construction industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, site staff, and project stakeholders, including clear reporting and documentation.
- Competence in basic IT and administrative tasks, such as using email, spreadsheets, and project documentation tools.
- Relevant construction-related qualifications or certifications (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) and site safety training (such as CSCS card or similar) are highly beneficial.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to and between sites in the Portsmouth area as required.
