About the role
This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the organisation’s compliance with statutory data protection obligations under the Data Protection Act 2018 and the UK General Data Protection Regulation. Working closely with the DSAR Manager, the role is central to coordinating and delivering accurate, timely, and legally robust responses to data subject access requests (DSARs).
Given the regulatory sensitivity and potential reputational impact of this work, the role requires good judgement, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to handle highly confidential and often complex personal data. It offers the opportunity to take on significant responsibilities from day one and to develop advanced expertise in the UK data protection and privacy landscape.
What you'll be doing
As a DSAR Officer, you will be responsible for leading and supporting the end-to-end handling of Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), ensuring all requests are processed accurately, securely and within statutory deadlines.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
