Job Description

What Are We Looking For

We’re looking for individuals with a range of strengths and experiences suited to a structured DSCC night shift environment. In this role, you’ll be liaising directly with police officers to accurately capture case details and ensuring timely communication with duty solicitors.

Success in this position relies on clear, confident communication, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow defined processes with accuracy and consistency. You’ll need to remain focused and professional while handling sensitive information, including hearing details of case details that may be difficult to listen to.

Working overnight requires a high level of reliability, self-motivation, and resilience, as you’ll often be working independently in a fast-paced, process-driven setting. Across our DSCC roles, we value adaptability and the ability to build effective working relationships delivering a seamless, efficient service while maintaining accuracy and compliance is key.

Requirements

  • Clear and confident telephone communication in a professional setting
  • Strong attention to detail when accurately recording sensitive information
  • Ability to follow structured processes and maintain compliance at all times
  • Comfortable handling and hearing potentially difficult or sensitive information.
  • Ability to remain calm, focused, and objective under pressure
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • High level of reliability, punctuality, and commitment to night shift working
  • Basic IT skills and confidence navigating systems while on calls
  • Adaptability to changing priorities within a fast-paced operational environment
