Satellite & Cellular Modem – DSP/PHY Software Engineer
Cambridge, UK | highly experienced team | Hands-on, technical role
Join our specialist engineering team in the UK who develop next-generation Satellite and Cellular modem technology. You’ll design, implement, test, and maintain Physical Layer (PHY) software, working across both simulation environments and real hardware.
As a member of our dynamic team, you will collaborate with professionals, tackling exciting challenges and making a tangible impact on the IoT landscape. What you’ll be doing
- Designing and optimizing signal-processing algorithms for custom embedded platforms
- Implementing PHY-layer software in C/C++
- Interpreting 3GPP and satellite communication standards
- Developing robust test coverage using CI pipelines
- Collaborating closely with DSP, RF, and embedded engineers to partition and deliver designs
What you’ll bring
- Strong C/C++
- Practical, hands-on engineering mindset
- Degree-level knowledge of wireless communications systems (Electronics/Communication Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics)
- Clear communicator who enjoys solving problems collaboratively

Nice to have
- Knowledge of 3GPP LTE, NR, or satellite communication standards
- Python scripting
- Embedded C/C++ on constrained hardware
- Self-motivated, curious, team-oriented
