A brilliant opportunity is currently waiting for you to join an excellent secondary school in Minehead, in a long term design technology position. The role is full time and offers an excellent chance to utilise passion and enthusiasm to enhance children's experiences learning to design and create, as well as gain valuable hands-on experience in the DT classroom setting.
Responsibilities
The perfect teacher will:
- Go above and beyond to ensure every child is actively involved in the learning process and benefits from the knowledge and skills you have to offer.
- Bring your subject to life!
- Be flexible and adaptable, to ensure they tailor their teaching style and respond effectively to a range of student behaviours.
- Communicate effectively to build a cohesive relationship with other teachers and ensure a trusting and insightful relationship with students.
- Emotional intelligence is vital to interactions in education!
- Be calm, patient and understanding; classrooms can be overwhelming environments and it is vital to be able to take a deep breath and accurately gauge the most effective and appropriate response, both managing tempers and diffusing situations.

Requirements
A candidate 'Must Have':
- An enhanced DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this!)
- Eligibility to work in the UK (No Sponsorships Provided)
- Willingness or ability to work with children in a classroom setting
- Experience in a Design Technology Teaching job and have a QTS
- The ability to teach up to KS4.

Salary
31000 - 49000 GBP Per annum
