including Health & Safety
Grade 3 SCP 5 – FTE £25,583 per annum
26 hours per week - Actual salary £15,611 per annum
Term time only plus INSET days
Permanent contract
We are seeking an enthusiastic and practical Design & Technology Technician to support our D&T department.
Working under the direction of senior staff, you will:
- Prepare materials, equipment and resources for practical lessons
- Support teachers with demonstrations and practical activities
- Operate and maintain workshop machinery, including metalworking and woodworking equipment
- Maintain tools, equipment, stock and workshop areas
- Design and make teaching aids, models, fixtures and other resources
- Support ordering and management of materials and equipment
- Help ensure high standards of Health & Safety across the department and school
The successful candidate will have practical workshop skills, good organisational abilities and a strong understanding of safe working practices. The ability to work independently and use initiative is essential.
