Pets Choice also supplies private label goods, including extruded and wet food, retorted trays, and baked fresh meat treats, alongside packaging design, fulfilment, and logistics services. Role Description

The DTC Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Manchester Area, United Kingdom, responsible for driving direct-to-consumer performance across Pets Choice’s digital channels. Day-to-day tasks include:

  • Managing DTC e-commerce platforms
  • Overseeing online merchandising, pricing, and promotions
  • Optimizing customer journeys to increase conversion and retention
  • Planning and executing digital marketing campaigns
  • Coordinating with brand, product, and supply chain teams to ensure availability and timely fulfillment
  • Monitoring trading performance through regular reporting and analysis
  • Leading testing and optimization initiatives
  • Managing agency or third-party partners where relevant
  • Using data insights to refine strategy, improve customer experience, and grow revenue across key markets

Qualifications

  • Experience managing DTC or e-commerce channels, including online merchandising, promotion planning, and customer journey optimization.
  • Strong digital marketing skills across paid, owned, and earned channels (e.g., email, social, search), with a focus on performance and ROI.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using e-commerce platforms and analytics tools to inform trading decisions and strategy.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, brand, operations, and logistics to deliver seamless customer experiences.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Experience in FMCG, retail, or pet-related industries is advantageous, as is prior responsibility for revenue targets or P&L elements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, digital commerce, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive, commercially focused approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
