Description

  • Hours: 37 hours per week (full time)

  • Salary: Grade 6 - £32,053 - £34,950
  • Location: Sheffield (This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office)

We are looking for an organised and proactive Project Support Officer to provide high-quality operational and administrative support to our Digital and Technology Services (DTS) team.

This is a key role supporting a busy and fast-paced service, ensuring effective coordination, communication and administration across the department. Working closely with DTS Project Managers and the wider DTS team, you will help enable the delivery of technology services that support the organisation's priorities and objectives.

About The Role

As a Digital & Technology Services Project Support Officer, you will provide comprehensive administrative and coordination supporting a range of departmental project activities, helping to ensure the smooth running of the service.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as a key point of contact for enquiries into the Digital and Technology Services team
  • Provide administrative support including diary management, meeting coordination, minute taking and document preparation
  • Monitor actions, milestones and project updates to ensure work progresses effectively
  • Develop and maintain effective systems, processes and records to support efficient project delivery
  • Produce and coordinate reports, updates and information for project meetings and governance group.
  • Support communication between DTS, internal customers and external stakeholders
  • Build positive relationships with colleagues, partners and stakeholders across the organisation
  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring activities, ensuring actions are tracked through to completion
  • Maintain accurate records and handle sensitive information in line with data protection requirements

About You

You will be a highly organised and professional administrator with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

You will bring:

  • Experience working in an administrative, business support or coordination role
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence working with confidential and sensitive information
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience developing and maintaining effective systems, processes and records
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • The ability to build positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
  • High levels of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail
