Purpose of the Role
To assist with the smooth running of the site and to assist with all emergency situations when they occur. This includes providing visible security cover to the site, handling enquiries and customer concerns, monitoring CCTV (by suitably trained and licensed staff) and controlling contractors and deliveries to the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff Management: Hire, train, schedule, and manage both security officers and cleaning personnel.
- Quality Control: Inspect the facility regularly to verify high standards of cleanliness and safety compliance.
- Operations Coordination: Align security protocols and cleaning schedules so they do not disrupt daily business activities.
- Incident Response: Handle emergencies, accidents, or security breaches while directing appropriate clean-up and safety measures.
- Budget and Supplies: Manage the budget for equipment, uniforms, cleaning chemicals, and security technology.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility meets local health, safety, and labour laws.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience
Essential
- Experience in the provision of security services in a busy environment visited by members of the public.
- In order to comply with the Security Industry Act 2001, officers must hold a valid SIA Security Licence and where necessary a Public Space Surveillance Licence.
- Ability to always demonstrate good levels of customer service.
- Ability to work on own initiative and deal with demanding situations.
- Honest and reliable work ethic.
- Willingness to partake in on-site training for emergency procedures.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to undertake additional training and career development.
- Well presented.
- Accurate record keeping with good attention to detail.

Desirable
- Ability to use full range of Microsoft applications inc. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Basic knowledge of H&S legislation.

Salary
- £15.22ph
