Job Role: Dual Service Operative (Cleaning & CCTV Operator)
Working Hours
2 on 6 off shift pattern, 7:30-18:00 - average 18.4 hours per week
Pay Rate
£12.90 per hour

Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available at Anchor Group Services for an experienced Dual Service Operative to join our established team at St Catherines Walk Shopping Centre in Carmarthen. This role combines both security and cleaning responsibilities, ensuring the centre remains safe, clean, and welcoming for all visitors. The successful candidate will be expected to carry out routine cleaning tasks while maintaining a visible and professional security presence, carrying out CCTV control room duties, and supporting the overall safety and operation of the site.
A valid CCTV licence is required as you will carry out control room duties as part of this role. However, if you do not hold a CCTV licence, training will be available for the successful candidate.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage all activities within the CCTV control room, ensuring effective oversight of security operations.
- Respond to and escalate incidents appropriately to the Control Room, Soft Services Manager, Ops Management, or Emergency Services.
- Complete detailed reports and logs of observations, incidents, and surveillance activities.
- Ensure compliance with legal and site-specific requirements to uphold the organisation’s reputation.
- Carry out routine and reactive cleaning tasks, including litter picking, spill response, mopping, and general upkeep of the centre.
- Operate cleaning equipment and machinery.
- Provide a professional and friendly service to customers and visitors.
- Respond to customer queries and requests with a helpful and solution-focused approach.
- Maintain a visible presence on site, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment.
- Follow all site-specific instructions and procedures to ensure consistent service delivery.
- Collaborate with the wider team to support the smooth running of the centre.

Requirements
- Full 5-year employment checkable history
- A valid SIA/CCTV licence - CCTV training is available for the successful candidate
- Customer Service experience and confidence to handle conflict in a correct manner
- Understanding of COSHH
- Flexible to meet the job requirements
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Smart appearance and be well-groomed
- Reliable and punctual
- High level of enthusiasm and passion
- Ability to work in a fast-moving environment
- Flexible - must be able to work weekend and cover shifts if required
