Sonographer Opportunity in Bermuda
Remedy International Medical are working with an established private practice in Bermuda, a British Overseas Territory, to recruit an experienced Sonographer who is able to undertake both general and cardiac Sonography ultrasounds. You will be responsible for working directly with patients and use sonographic equipment to record images of the motion, shape, and composition of blood, organs, tissues, and bodily masses including as part of prenatal care. The Sonographer (Medical Ultrasound) will report to the Laboratory Manager (administration) and Laboratory Director (clinical).
Situated in the North Atlantic, with a sub-tropical climate, beautiful beaches and aquarium-like waters, and plenty of sandy coves, if you love the outdoors, this could be the island for you.
Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic data from static or real-time imaging to provide the referring physician with clinical data and a diagnosis.
- Perform a range of studies in all musculoskeletal imaging, vascular imaging of carotids, peripheral vascular (arterial and venous) and abdominal vascular imaging.
- Manage daily scheduling and reconciliation of patient accounts and information.
- Prepare and provide written reports and clinical data transfer to the reporting radiologist.
- Manage the disbursement of final reports to the referring physician with 24-48hrs turnaround time.
- Identify and execute medical coding and billing according to the Allied Health Council Fee schedule.
- Maintain equipment and software by following operating instructions; performing quality control checks of sonographic equipment, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, backing up computer software and data; calling for repairs and information technology support.
- Perform any other administrative duties as directed by the Laboratory Manager and Laboratory Director.

Qualifications and experience required:
- Associate in Medical Sonography or Bachelor of Science - Radiology and Imaging.
- Be able to register with the relevant statutory body in Bermuda.
- Minimum of five years’ technical experience.
- Sound understanding and proven ability to interpret findings with radiologists.
- Proven proficiency in the use of ultrasound equipment and troubleshooting.
- Possess up to date and best practice knowledge of modern ultrasound procedures.
- Strong demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite, LIS and EMR.
- Demonstrated knowledge regarding laboratory accreditation requirements and HIPAA.
- Possess excellent patient service and interpersonal skills.
- Experience liaising and maintaining strong relationships with medical providers and vendors is preferred.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, with a diverse set of people, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, multitask, and work well under pressure.

Package
- Salary in excess of $100,000 USD per annum (Depending on experience) with a low tax rate of 10%.
- Relocation package on offer.
- Monday - Friday between 8:00am- 5:00pm.
