Role Description

The Ductwork Fabricator role is a full-time, on-site position based in Royal Tunbridge Wells. Day-to-day responsibilities include:

  • Measuring, cutting, forming, and assembling ductwork and sheet metal components according to technical drawings and specifications.
  • Operating fabrication tools and machinery.
  • Performing routine quality checks.
  • Ensuring finished products meet company standards and industry requirements.
  • Collaborating with production and installation teams to meet project deadlines.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
  • Following health and safety procedures.

This position requires consistent attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a workshop environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in sheet metal work or ductwork fabrication, including reading and interpreting technical drawings and measurements.
  • Proficiency with fabrication tools and equipment (e.g., shears, presses, hand tools, power tools) and safe workshop practices.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality-focused workmanship, and ability to inspect and verify dimensions and finishes.
  • Good physical stamina, manual dexterity, and ability to lift, move, and position materials safely.
  • Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow instructions and work to production schedules.
  • Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement systems used in fabrication.
  • Previous experience in HVAC, construction, or industrial fabrication is beneficial.
  • Vocational training or apprenticeship in sheet metal, fabrication, or a related trade is an advantage.
