About the Role

The world's most exciting vehicles are not defined simply by performance. They're defined by how they perform, endure and inspire confidence over thousands of miles, in every environment and under every condition.

At Aston Martin, we're looking for a Durability Analysis Engineer to join our Durability & Reliability team and play a key role in shaping the durability performance of our future vehicles. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, working with data and turning analysis into meaningful engineering decisions that influence vehicle development from concept through to production.

Responsibilities

Working within Vehicle Engineering, you'll help define and deliver the durability and reliability requirements for Aston Martin vehicle programmes. You'll analyse durability demand at vehicle, system and component level, supporting the development of robust testing strategies and helping ensure our vehicles meet the high standards expected of the Aston Martin marque.

This role brings together simulation, data analysis and real-world engineering. You'll work with vehicle durability duty cycles, load spectra, test profiles and customer usage data, helping define how we evaluate durability performance across a wide range of vehicle systems and components. You'll collaborate closely with engineers across commodity teams, vehicle attributes, testing and programme functions, providing analysis that supports both engineering decisions and issue resolution activities.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll also play an important part in supporting durability testing activities, helping define instrumentation requirements, reviewing acquired data and identifying opportunities to improve durability performance. Whether analysing vehicle simulations, supporting root cause investigations or developing test cycles that accurately reflect real-world usage, your work will contribute directly to the development of high-performance vehicles that are engineered to last.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for understanding how engineering systems behave over time. You'll bring experience in durability, reliability, simulation or data analysis, alongside a solid understanding of automotive systems and a curiosity to continuously learn and develop. You'll be comfortable working with engineering data, applying statistical analysis techniques and using tools such as MATLAB, Python or similar programming environments to solve problems and generate insight.

Just as importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys working collaboratively. This role requires close interaction with teams across engineering and programme delivery, so strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a practical and accessible way are essential.

An engineering degree or equivalent experience is required, and experience working with durability analysis, simulation tools, data acquisition systems or automotive diagnostics would be advantageous. Familiarity with tools such as N-Code or CANape would also be beneficial, although what matters most is your ability to analyse data, think critically and contribute to the successful delivery of engineering solutions.
