Role Description
The Duty Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at the Woking branch, responsible for overseeing day-to-day branch operations and supporting the Branch Manager. This includes:

The Duty Manager will:
- Monitor stock levels
- Support inventory accuracy
- Help maintain safe, efficient warehouse and front-of-house operations
The role involves:
- Handling escalated customer issues
- Ensuring that service standards are met
- Supporting compliance with company policies and health and safety procedures
The Duty Manager will also contribute to achieving sales and productivity targets by supporting team performance, coaching colleagues, and assisting with daily reporting and administration.
Qualifications
- Experience in retail, trade, or distribution operations, ideally within the automotive or similar sector.
- Proven people supervision or team leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and guide colleagues.
- Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to manage queries and resolve issues effectively.
- Good organizational and time management skills, with experience handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of inventory control, stock management, and branch operational processes.
- Comfortable using computer systems for ordering, reporting, and communication; willingness to learn new systems.
- Awareness of health and safety practices in a warehouse or branch setting, with a commitment to safe working.
- Flexible and proactive approach, with the ability to work various shifts as required by branch operations.
- Previous experience as a supervisor, duty manager, or senior sales assistant is advantageous but not essential.
- Interest in automotive parts or willingness to develop product knowledge through training.
