Senior Duty Manager (Warehouse & Operations)

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee warehouse operations, resource management, and customer service, including line management for the General Assistant team.
  • Ensure full Health and Safety compliance across all warehouse areas.
  • Drive balanced performance across key business metrics and KPIs aligned with company goals.
  • Maintain branch compliance with internal standards for consistency and efficiency.
  • Lead, coach, and develop teams to build skills for current and future opportunities.
  • Conduct regular colleague reviews to enhance engagement and support professional growth.
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to create a succession plan for branch stability.
  • Ensure effective recruitment, attracting top talent to the organisation.
  • Deliver structured daily briefings to align the team with key objectives and measures.

Hours:

  • Monday to Friday (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
  • Alternate Saturdays (8:00 AM – 4:00 PM)
  • Average of 44 hours per week

Skills and Experience

  • Strong communication skills to foster positive customer and colleague relationships.
  • Experience leading warehouse operations with a customer-first mindset.
  • Knowledge of recruitment processes.
  • Understanding of Picking Lists (PLs) and stock booking procedures.
  • Ability to identify and resolve health and safety issues proactively.
  • Skill in challenging, coaching, and developing team members for optimal performance.
