Duty Manager
Location: Oswestry Leisure Centre, Oswestry SY11 4QB
Salary: 15,424.68 plus excellent benefits
Schedule: 9-month FTC contract, part-time hours 20.5 hours per week, working a mixture of earlies, lates, and weekends, across a 3-week rota.

As Duty Manager, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the facility, ensuring activities are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Leading operational colleagues and providing visible support to customers, you'll help create an environment where everyone can enjoy their visit with confidence. Your work has purpose, helping to deliver a positive impact on communities while supporting healthier and happier futures for local people.
What you’ll do as a Duty Manager
- Manage the facility on a day-to-day basis, ensuring activities are delivered safely and to a high standard.
- Lead, deploy, and support operational colleagues, ensuring duties are clearly allocated and completed effectively.
- Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture, ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.
- Respond confidently to emergency situations, taking control and ensuring appropriate action is taken.
- Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Monitor operational performance and contribute to continuous improvement through the use of performance data and key performance indicators.

- Experience in a similar supervisory or duty management role.
- A strong commitment to safety, customer care, and service excellence.
- The ability to lead and motivate colleagues while maintaining high operational standards.
- Confidence in making decisions, solving problems, and adapting to changing situations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with customers, colleagues, and partners.

Vetting and checks:
This role requires a Basic DBS check, which will disclose any unspent convictions in line with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire to help us identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively.
