Duty Manager
Location: Ladywood Leisure Centre Birmingham, B16 8TR
Salary: £11,421.27 per year plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Part-time 17.25 hours per week, working a mixture of earlies, lates, and weekends.

Delivering these services relies on an enthusiastic, customer-focused team, and they're now looking for a Duty Manager to join their team and help make a positive difference every day.
As Duty Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the safe, effective, and welcoming operation of the leisure centre. Leading colleagues across a range of activities, you'll help create positive experiences for customers while supporting a culture of safety, trust, and continuous improvement. Your work has purpose, helping people of all ages stay active, healthy, and connected while making a positive impact on communities and contributing to a better future.
What you’ll do as a Duty Manager
- Manage the day-to-day operation of the leisure facility, ensuring activities are delivered safely and to a consistently high standard
- Lead, motivate, and support operational colleagues, ensuring effective deployment to meet the daily programme
- Monitor the facility throughout the day, responding proactively to operational, customer service, and safety requirements
- Take control of incidents, accidents, and emergency situations, ensuring the appropriate procedures are followed
- Maintain compliance with health and safety legislation, site procedures, and company policies, including risk assessments and safe systems of work
- Support excellent customer experiences by maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and service across the centre

Does this sound like you?
- Experience in a supervisory or management role within a leisure, hospitality, sport, or customer-focused environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and develop colleagues
- A calm and confident approach when managing challenging situations and emergencies
- A strong understanding of health and safety responsibilities and the importance of compliance
- Organised and proactive, with excellent time management skills and a commitment to delivering high standards
