If you are a shift-leader or supervisor or looking to take your first step into management, then this is likely the job for you. We are on the hunt for a hospitality professional that is passionate about great hospitality and team development to come and join our team at Venn Street Records. We are a live music venue in the heart of Clapham Common throwing out live music every night we are open alongside killer cocktails and great vibes.

As an operator our people are at the heart of what we do with a heavy focus on delivering for all our team members. We have the systems and experience to ensure you are developing from day one. You will develop both professionally and personally with us in your hospitality journey. We always seek to ensure there is a focus on finding the correct work-life balance and have created a company mental health support programme to ensure the well-being of our teams is the heart of what we do.

Key responsibilities:

  • Be a key driver of the guest journey and maintain organisational standards when running shifts.
  • Be a standard bearer by ensuring the venue looks great at all times.
  • Help support senior management in delivering venue KPIs (labour, GP, Myster Shop)
  • Ensure that all due diligence is kept up to date including venue checklists and incident reporting.
  • Help support the In Store Trainers to develop learning programmes.
  • Be the support network between senior management and the team.
  • Actively managing labour management on a shift-by-shift basis.
  • Ensuring our BOH systems are kept updated to ensure reliable reporting takes place.
  • Helping support employee’s personal development plans.
  • Effectively communicate upwards and downwards to ensure communication is clear.
  • Ensure that all maintenance is reported promptly and upkeep the venue appearance.
