About The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hands-on Hotel Duty Manager to join our management team on a maternity leave cover contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious Food & Beverage Manager, Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or experienced Supervisor looking to take the next step in their hospitality career and gain exposure to all aspects of hotel operations.

As Duty Manager, you will work closely with the senior management team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the hotel, delivering exceptional guest experiences while supporting and leading departmental teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operation of the hotel across all departments.
  • Lead and support Front of House, Food & Beverage and Housekeeping teams.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service standards are maintained at all times.
  • Handle guest feedback, complaints and service recovery professionally and efficiently.
  • Conduct daily operational checks and ensure compliance with health, safety and licensing requirements.
  • Support recruitment, training and development of team members.
  • Manage room inspections and presentation standards.
  • Assist with stock control, ordering and departmental cost management.
  • Act as the senior manager on duty and be the main point of contact for guests and staff.
  • Support with hotel administration, reporting and operational planning.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are consistently followed.

About You

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has previous supervisory or management experience within hospitality.
  • May currently be working as an F&B Manager, Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager or Senior Supervisor looking for their next challenge.
  • Demonstrates excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Has a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
  • Can remain calm and professional under pressure.
  • Is highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Has excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Is flexible and willing to work shifts, including weekends and evenings.
