Role Description
The Duty Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the London Area working with a prestigious rail client, responsible for overseeing daily operations and service delivery at assigned sites. This role includes managing front-line teams, ensuring adherence to security and customer service standards, and coordinating staffing and rota requirements. The Duty Manager monitors site performance, responds to incidents and escalations, and liaises with clients to maintain strong relationships and high satisfaction levels. Typical duties involve conducting site inspections, ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards, preparing reports, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. The Duty Manager also collaborates with the 24-hour Control Room and senior management to address operational issues and support a safe, efficient, and customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

- Experience in operations or site management within security, facilities, customer service environments, hospitality or retail with strong supervisory or team leadership skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards relevant to security and facilities services.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, including managing incidents, priorities, and time-sensitive tasks.
- Ability to work on-site in the London Area, including flexibility to cover shifts, weekends, and evenings as required by the operation.
- Proficiency in using technology and reporting systems to monitor performance, record incidents, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Previous experience in rail, retail, corporate, or similar service sectors is an advantage; relevant security or facilities certifications are beneficial.
- Demonstrated commitment to quality, reliability, and proactive service delivery, aligned with STM Group’s values and customer-focused philosophy.
