Lead from the floor. Support your team. Make every guest experience count.
We’re looking for a confident, approachable Duty Manager to help keep Hoar Cross Hall running smoothly and ensure our guests feel looked after throughout their stay.
This is a hands-on role with a focus on front of house and guest services. You’ll be a visible presence across the hotel, supporting colleagues, coordinating departments and taking ownership when challenges arise.
Reporting to the Guest Experience Manager and working closely with the Front of House Manager, you’ll help deliver high standards and memorable experiences.
What You’ll Do
- Lead each shift: Giving clear direction, prioritise tasks and support teams across the hotel.
- Look after our guests: Handling escalated concerns calmly, find practical solutions and follow through.
- Support front of house: Assisting with check-in and check-out during busy periods.
- Keep operations moving: Responding to disruptions, resolve conflicts and escalate matters when further support is needed.
- Maintain standards: Applying company policies fairly and help keep the hotel safe, secure and welcoming.
- Support emergency responses: Carrying out fire marshal duties following the required training.
- Keep everyone informed: Completing accurate shift reports and thorough handovers, highlighting outstanding actions and guest requirements.

The role includes evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Occasional sleepover Duty Manager shifts may be required to support the operation, in line with agreed working arrangements.
- Working 5 out of 7 days per week
- 40 hours per week
- Annual Salary: £29,231.28
