Job Title: Duty Manager
Location: The View, Hill Farm Marina, Stratford Road, Wootton Wawen, B95 6DE
Employment Type: Full-Time
About Us
Nestled in the heart of the countryside, The View is more than just a restaurant, it's an experience. Set on a working farm, we serve honest, seasonal food, made with local ingredients. Our guests come for the fresh air, open fields, and a warm welcome that feels like coming home.
Prominently a daytime operation, with some evening events, weddings & quizzes.
We’re now looking for a friendly, organized, and passionate Duty Manager to lead our service team and help us continue offering relaxed, down-to-earth hospitality in a beautiful rural setting.
The Role
You’ll be the heartbeat of our guest experience. From greeting customers to coordinating service, you’ll ensure every guest feels looked after, whether they’re here for a Sunday roast, a celebratory lunch, or a cup of tea after a walk along the canal.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
