Duty Security Manager
We are looking for a Duty Security Manager to join a leading global security provider based in Yeovil (BA20).
Salary: £43,624.80 per annum (£19.92 per hour)
- 4 on 4 off rolling shift pattern
- 12-hour shifts covering days, nights and weekends
- Permanent role working an average of 42 hours per week
- Site-based role

As the Duty Security Manager, you will play a key role in managing the day-to-day security operation, ensuring the safety and security of people, property, and information across a high-profile site. Reporting to the Site Security Manager, you will lead one of four security teams, overseeing up to 10 Security Officers, including core, relief, and temporary staff, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery and compliance.
The Duty Security Manager you will get involved with a varied mix of operational leadership, people management, incident coordination, compliance, and customer service. You will support the Site Security Manager in delivering an effective security operation and will take full operational responsibility of your team and ensuring continuity of service.

You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, support the development of your team through coaching and training, and help drive operational improvements while maintaining compliance with site procedures and security standards.
Ideally, you'll have supervisory or team leadership experience, hold a valid SIA licence, and be confident managing people, incidents, and day-to-day security operations.
Due to the nature of this role, enhanced security screening will be required. This will include a five-year UK residential history check, criminal record checks, financial background screening, and verification of employment and references covering the past five years.
Duty Security Manager: Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day security operation across the site
- Supervise, support and develop a team of up to 10 Security Officers
- Manage staff rotas, annual leave, sickness and absence
- Ensure all officers maintain valid SIA licences and mandatory training
- Coach, mentor and monitor team performance to maintain high operational standards
- Act as the first point of contact for security incidents and escalate where required
- Coordinate incident reporting and investigations in line with company procedures
- Maintain operational knowledge of CCTV, Access Control, Alarm and Detection Systems
- Deliver and review operational and emergency response training
- Monitor equipment performance and report faults promptly
- Work closely with site management to continuously improve service delivery
- Deputise for the Site Security Manager when required, providing leadership and operational oversight
