DV Cleared Infrastructure Architect
Location: Basingstoke (Onsite)
Duration: 6-9 Months with possible extension
Rate: Up to £675 per day via an approved umbrella company
Must be willing and eligible to undergo the DV clearance process
We are currently seeking an experienced DV Cleared Infrastructure Architect to join a highly skilled, multi-disciplinary agile team delivering secure, resilient, and large-scale infrastructure solutions within a complex enterprise environment.
This is an exciting opportunity for an architect who thrives in a collaborative setting, enjoys working with senior stakeholders, and can take ownership of end-to-end infrastructure solution design and delivery.
The Role
As an Infrastructure Architect, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering technical solutions that align with the customer's strategic vision. Working closely with security, service, engineering, and management teams, you will be responsible for ensuring architectural integrity throughout the delivery lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities Include
- Owning the design and delivery of infrastructure architecture solutions
- Working within a multi-skilled agile team where collaboration and knowledge sharing are essential
- Developing and delivering technical proposals aligned to customer and programme objectives
- Engaging with senior customer stakeholders to understand and define infrastructure requirements
- Collaborating across technical, service and project teams to ensure successful outcomes
- Managing third-party suppliers and assessing the impact of change requests on the overall architecture
- Ensuring solutions meet security, resilience, performance and compliance requirements
- Supporting successful project delivery through implementation and service transition
- Contributing to continuous improvement and cross-functional knowledge sharing

Skills & Experience Required
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Strong experience with VMware NSX-T
- Proven experience working with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and VMware technologies
- Extensive knowledge of designing and implementing secure, highly resilient enterprise-scale infrastructure environments
- Experience working directly with customers to gather, define and refine infrastructure requirements
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to engage senior business and technical leaders
- Proven experience delivering infrastructure solutions through to production deployment and operational handover
- Strong understanding of security standards and designing infrastructure solutions that meet compliance requirements
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Windows administration within enterprise environments, including:
- Group Policy (GPO)
- Windows Registry and Filesystem management
- PowerShell
- WMI
- Windows Update and patching mechanisms
- Windows Installer technologies
