Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Trainer

Location: London / Hybrid
Contract

We are hiring an experienced Dynamics 365 Trainer to support the successful adoption of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (D365 F&O) across Finance teams. The role will be responsible for developing and delivering end-user training, creating user guides and learning materials, and driving business readiness activities to ensure users are prepared for system deployment and organizational change.

The successful candidate will work closely with Finance SMEs, Business Analysts, Functional Consultants, Change Managers, and Project Teams to deliver engaging training programs that enable business users to confidently perform their day-to-day activities in D365 F&O. User training, SOP creation, knowledge transfer, and stakeholder engagement are key aspects of this role.

Your Responsibilities:

Training Development & Delivery

  • Design, develop, and deliver end-user training programs for D365 Finance & Operations.
  • Facilitate instructor-led, virtual, and classroom-based training sessions.
  • Deliver role-based training for Finance users across:
    • General Ledger (GL)
    • Accounts Payable (AP)
    • Accounts Receivable (AR)
    • Subscription billing
    • Cash & Bank Management
    • Budgeting and Financial Reporting
  • Conduct train-the-trainer sessions to support wider organizational adoption.

Training Materials & Documentation

  • Create and maintain:
    • User Guides
    • Quick Reference Guides
    • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Training Presentations
    • Learning Videos
    • Process Maps
    • Knowledge Base Articles
    • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
  • Ensure all documentation reflects approved business processes and system functionality.

Business Readiness & Change Support

  • Support business readiness activities leading up to deployment and go-live.
  • Assess training needs and identify knowledge gaps within Finance teams.
  • Work with Change and Project Teams to support communication and adoption plans.
  • Facilitate workshops and awareness sessions for stakeholders.
  • Monitor user adoption and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Support

  • Assist with UAT preparation and execution.
  • Develop training environments and business process scenarios for testing.
  • Support Finance users during UAT activities.
  • Capture feedback and identify areas requiring additional training.
  • Ensure training content incorporates lessons learned from testing cycles.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner with Finance SMEs and business stakeholders to understand business processes and training requirements.
  • Build strong relationships across Finance, IT, Change Management, and Project Delivery teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for user adoption and capability development.
  • Gather feedback and continuously improve training effectiveness.

Go-Live & Hypercare Support

  • Provide floor-walking and hyper care support during deployment.
  • Assist users with process queries and system navigation.
  • Monitor common issues and provide targeted refresher training where required.
  • Support transition to BAU support teams.

Your Profile

Essential skills/knowledge/experience:

  • 3-5+ years' experience delivering ERP or D365 training programs.
  • Experience working within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environments.
  • Strong understanding of Finance business processes.
  • Experience creating user guides, SOPs, process documentation, and training materials.
  • Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing and business readiness activities.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.

Desirable skills/knowledge/experience:

  • Experience supporting large-scale ERP transformation programs.
  • Knowledge of change management and learning methodologies.
  • Experience with digital learning platforms and learning management systems.
  • Exposure to Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Order-to-Cash (O2C), and Record-to-Report (R2R) processes.
