Business Central Functional Consultant — Contract
Location: South West London
Contract Length: Circa 12 months
IR35 Status: [TBC — to confirm]
Start Date: [ASAP]
The Opportunity
We're recruiting on behalf of a client based in South West London who is undertaking a major transformation project: migrating their Microsoft Dynamics Business Central environment from an on-premise deployment (version 18 / 2021 release wave 1) to Azure-based cloud Business Central (current release).
The client's existing environment includes a significant volume of customisation, and while the platform has been AL-based throughout this range, real-world customisations built over that period often carry technical debt that needs to be properly assessed, tested, and reworked for the current cloud platform. We're looking for someone who can own that translation from a functional standpoint.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
