D365 Developer / Application Specialist

About the Role
We are looking for a D365 Developer / Application Specialist to join an established platform team and support the development, configuration and continuous improvement of Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications.
This is an ideal opportunity for a mid-level D365 professional who is comfortable working across both configuration and development and is looking to deepen their expertise within a well-established technology environment.
The role will primarily focus on Dynamics 365 Customer Service and Sales, working closely with the Technical Lead and wider delivery team to deliver reliable, maintainable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and customise Dynamics 365 applications.
- Develop extensions and enhancements where required.
- Support integrations between D365 and third-party systems.
- Work with Dataverse, Model-driven Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application defects.
- Contribute to application testing and release processes.
- Support Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and solution management.
- Maintain appropriate technical documentation and governance.
- Work closely with technical and wider delivery teams.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the D365 platform.
- Make sound implementation decisions within agreed technical standards.
- Escalate complex technical decisions to the Technical Lead where appropriate.

What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with:
- Proven experience working with Microsoft Dynamics 365.
- Hands-on experience with Dataverse.
- Experience with Model-driven Power Apps and Power Automate.
- A good understanding of solution management and ALM practices.
- Experience working across both D365 configuration and development.
- A strong understanding of testing, governance and documentation.
- Experience with JavaScript, C#, plugins, APIs or Azure DevOps would be beneficial.
- A pragmatic, technically curious and delivery-focused approach.
- The ability to make sound implementation decisions within an established framework.
- Strong attention to quality, maintainability and reliability.
- The ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Desirable Experience
Experience with any of the following would be advantageous:
- Dynamics 365 Contact Centre or Omnichannel for Customer Service.
- Customer Service workspace.
- Telephony, case routing, queues, SLAs or knowledge management.
- Microsoft Copilot Studio or AI-enabled service processes.
- Integrating D365 with third-party systems.
- Azure Functions, Logic Apps or Service Bus.
- Power Pages or customer-facing portals.
- Working within a regulated, financial services or insurance environment.
