DEBRA is recruiting for a friendly, approachable and customer-orientated eBay Lister to join our supportive team based at our store in Merrow, Surrey.
Our new eBay Lister will be working on a part-time, permanent basis for 17.5 hours per week, with flexibility to provide additional cover during periods of sickness and annual leave.

DEBRA is the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), a painful genetic skin blistering condition which, in the worst cases, can be fatal. Our retail operations play a vital role in helping us fund support services and research into treatments and cures.
About The eBay Lister Role
DEBRA is seeking a business-minded, enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to join our growing eBay team.
Working as part of our online sales operation, you'll help maximise income from donated goods by identifying products suitable for online sale, researching their value and creating high-quality listings for eBay and other approved online marketplaces.
You'll use the latest AI-powered listing and image editing tools to create accurate, engaging product listings more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time on administration and more time identifying valuable stock and maximising sales. You'll receive full training on our eBay listing processes, tools and systems.
Salary: £13.28 per hour, Hours: Part time - 17.5 hours per week - we offer flexible working to an agreed pattern

- Create Online Listings
- Create accurate and compelling listings on eBay and other approved online marketplaces.
- Use AI-powered tools to generate listing titles, item specifics and product descriptions.
- Review and edit AI-generated content to ensure it is accurate, complete and commercially effective.
- Optimise listings to maximise visibility and conversion.

Photography and Image Management
- Prepare donated goods for photography.
- Photograph items to a high standard.
- Use AI-assisted image editing tools to improve image quality, presentation and consistency whilst ensuring products are represented accurately.

Research and Pricing
- Research products using online resources and AI-supported tools to identify brands, products and market values.
- Assess the saleability and potential value of donated goods to maximise online income.
- Provide additional information on listings to help the team respond to customer enquiries promptly and accurately.
- Assist with pricing decisions to ensure items are competitively positioned whilst delivering maximum return for DEBRA.

Packing and Despatching
- Pick, pack and dispatch sold items accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure all orders are packaged to a high standard to prevent damage in transit.
- Prepare shipping labels, manifests and associated documentation using approved systems.
- Meet dispatch deadlines and contribute to excellent customer service through timely order fulfilment.
- Maintain packing materials and report replenishment requirements as needed.

General Duties
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised working environment.
- Support colleagues and volunteers as required.
- Undertake reasonable ad hoc duties in support of the store and online operation.
Essential Skills
What We Are Looking For
- Confident using computers and digital systems.
- General knowledge of online platforms and digital marketplaces.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and use AI-powered listing and image editing tools.
- Ability to review, edit and quality-check AI-generated content.
