E-commerce Manager - D2C sportswear fashion brand - Shopify Plus
Central Manchester
Reporting to: CEO and Brand Director
Full time head office based role 5 days a week
The role:
As the Ecommerce Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving our global digital growth by taking full ownership of the end-to-end online experience. This role requires a high level blend of commercial acumen, technical expertise, and a deep understanding of premium visual merchandising. You will be responsible for the digital P&L, transforming brand concepts into a high-converting digital reality through strategic platform management, site optimisation, and a relentless focus on the user journey.
You will lead the management and evolution of our Shopify Plus ecosystem, serving as the technical lead for all on-site operations. This involves overseeing product listings, navigation, and checkout processes to ensure the platform remains robust, fast, and scalable. Beyond standard site management, you will leverage your technical web development knowledge to bridge the gap between creative vision and technical execution, ensuring that all third-party integrations and custom apps contribute to a seamless, premium customer experience that reflects A-Game’s position in the market.
A core focus of this position is the continuous optimisation of the customer journey and visual merchandising. You will lead initiatives across CRO and UX, utilising heatmapping and A/B testing to identify and remove friction points within the sales funnel. Working closely with content and creative teams, you will ensure that landing pages and product pages are not only aesthetically aligned with our brand ethos but are also engineered for maximum conversion.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day trading performance, overseeing promotional campaigns and seasonal strategies to drive measurable improvements in key metrics, specifically Average Order Value (AOV) and Lifetime Value (LTV).

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
