About Auto Fasteners
Auto Fasteners is a specialist supplier to the automotive industry, with extensive knowledge and experience in automotive fasteners, fixings and associated components.
As part of our continued growth, we are investing in the development of our new e-commerce platform and are looking for an experienced E-Commerce Specialist to take ownership of its ongoing development, performance and growth.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in automotive parts e-commerce who wants to play a key role in developing and growing a platform rather than simply maintaining an existing website.
The Role
As our E-Commerce Specialist, you will be responsible for managing, improving and growing the Auto Fasteners e-commerce platform.
You will take ownership of the day-to-day performance of the website while continually identifying opportunities to improve the customer experience, product discoverability, conversion rates and online sales.
We are particularly interested in candidates who understand the challenges of selling automotive parts online, including large product catalogues, vehicle and product compatibility, technical product information, search functionality and helping customers quickly identify the correct part.
The successful candidate will be commercially minded, data-driven and proactive, bringing new ideas and initiatives that can help us build a market-leading e-commerce offering.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and continually develop the Auto Fasteners e-commerce platform.
- Identify and implement opportunities to increase online revenue, conversion rates and average order value.
- Improve the overall customer journey, website usability and purchasing experience.
- Develop better ways for customers to search, filter and identify the correct automotive fasteners and components.
- Manage and optimise product listings, categories, descriptions, imagery and technical product information.
- Work with internal teams and external developers where required to introduce new website functionality and improvements.
- Analyse website performance, customer behaviour and sales data to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop and implement SEO initiatives to improve organic visibility across relevant automotive parts searches.
- Support and develop paid digital marketing, email marketing, promotions and customer acquisition initiatives where appropriate.
- Monitor competitors and wider automotive aftermarket e-commerce trends.
- Identify new technologies, tools and integrations that could improve the platform or customer experience.
- Develop ideas for increasing customer retention, repeat purchases and lifetime value.
- Establish and monitor key e-commerce KPIs and provide regular reporting on performance.
- Take ownership of testing new ideas and measuring their commercial impact.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What We Are Looking For
This role would suit someone who wants the opportunity to make a genuine impact on an e-commerce business.
We don’t simply want someone to maintain the website. We want someone who will challenge how things are currently done, understand our customers and products, identify opportunities and help us continually improve the platform.
You should be comfortable coming to us with ideas, explaining the commercial opportunity behind them and then taking responsibility for helping turn those ideas into reality.
The Opportunity
Auto Fasteners is making a significant investment in its digital and e-commerce capabilities.
The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of a growing platform at an important stage of its development and directly influence how our online business evolves.
For the right individual, there is significant scope to grow with the business as our e-commerce operation expands.
