E-COMMERCE TRADING MANAGER
Reporting to E-commerce & Amazon Director
Salary - £50,000 - £60,000

ROLE PURPOSE
Own the daily commercial operation of the D2C website, converting demand through accurate merchandising, promotional execution and continual optimisation.
DAILY AND WEEKLY TRADING
- Monitor sales, traffic, conversion, AOV, units per transaction and revenue per session.
- Compare results with target, forecast, prior year and previous trading periods.
- Identify issues by device, category, product, source, landing page and customer type.
- Issue a concise daily trading view with actions, owners and deadlines.
- Escalate material conversion, stock, pricing or technical risks immediately.

TRADING CALENDAR AND MERCHANDISING
- Build and manage the D2C trading calendar within the Director's plan.
- Coordinate campaigns, launches, seasonal moments, exclusives and promotions.
- Own homepage, navigation, search, collections, category and product-page merchandising.
- Use stock, margin and conversion data to prioritise hero products, bundles and categories.
- Manage product setup, pricing, copy, imagery, availability and mobile QA.
CONVERSION, PROMOTIONS AND OPERATIONS
- Identify friction across landing pages, product pages, basket and checkout.
- Maintain the CRO backlog with the Director and Growth Manager.
- Operate within agreed promotional floors and discount guardrails.
- Track uplift, incrementality, margin dilution and post-event effects.
- Coordinate stock, launch availability, technical tickets and customer-service issues.

REPORTING AND CANDIDATE PROFILE
- Maintain a trusted D2C dashboard covering revenue, traffic, CVR, AOV, discounting, margin, contribution and category performance.
- Separate traffic weakness from conversion weakness and turn reporting into action.
- Bring four to six years of hands-on Shopify or comparable D2C trading experience.
- Demonstrate strong mobile conversion, promotion, merchandising and commercial-analysis capability.
- Be rigorous, fast, detail-oriented and willing to escalate risks early.
SUCCESS MEASURES
- D2C net revenue, conversion by device, AOV and revenue per session.
- Gross margin, contribution and full-price mix.
- Promotional incrementality, category and hero-product performance.
- Stock availability, site accuracy and launch delivery.
- Speed of issue identification and resolution.
