Overview
We are recruiting Environmental Operatives to support the delivery of environmental improvement, maintenance and vegetation management works across our Water Utility and Environment Agency contracts.
• £14.38 per hour with opportunities for price work • Travel and overnight stays will be part of the role • Must have a driving licence and car
We specialise in sustainable water asset management solutions, delivering exceptional value outcomes in potable water, wastewater and the environment.
What you'll be doing
Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you will work as part of a team carrying out environmental and watercourse maintenance activities, including vegetation management, invasive species control, habitat enhancement, fencing, access improvements and general environmental works.
• Assist with the preparation of sites, including unloading and storing materials, tools and equipment. • Carry out vegetation management and environmental maintenance activities. • Support invasive species control and habitat improvement works. • Assist with fencing, access improvements and general environmental construction works. • Maintain a safe and tidy working environment, including wearing the appropriate PPE at all times. • Follow the Company Safety Handbook and all health, safety and environmental procedures. • Follow all training and reasonable instructions given by supervisors and managers. • Work in and around watercourses, reservoirs, wetlands and other aquatic environments as required.

The role is physically demanding and involves working outdoors throughout the year in varying weather conditions. You will be expected to work in a range of environments, including rivers, streams, reservoirs, wetlands and other water-based locations. Full training and appropriate safety equipment will be provided for all specialist activities.

Who we’re looking for
• Previous experience working on-site in a labouring role. • Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces. • Ideally have a CSCS card. • Ability to lift, carry and push equipment. • Must have a driving licence and car
