What we do at Weir

We are a global leader in mining technology for a sustainable future. We help our customers extract the resources the world needs more efficiently and more sustainably. Our planet’s future depends on the transition to renewable energy, and that transition can only happen with the metals and minerals our customers deliver. So, we work side by side with mines across the globe to move less rock, use less energy, use water wisely, and create less waste. Together, we drive the shift to smart, efficient, and more sustainable mining.

Make your impact

You’ll play a key role in solving real-world challenges. You’ll apply your skills to deliver results that matter whether that’s through engineering, planning or customer support. You’ll work with purpose, learn every day and help shape a more sustainable future.

What you’ll do

  • Executive Support & Prioritisation: Act as a trusted partner and advisor to the CFO, managing a complex global diary aligned to strategic priorities. Anticipate requirements, coordinate briefings, and manage communications to ensure the CFO’s focus remains on high-impact activities. Success means seamless prioritisation and proactive management of executive time.
  • Planning, Coordination & Governance: Maintain oversight of CFO engagement with the Board and Committees, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials. Coordinate agendas, papers, and presentations while tracking actions and deadlines. Travel may be required occasionally to support global governance activities.
  • Stakeholder Management & Communication: Build and maintain trusted relationships with Board members, executives, investors, and external partners. Serve as the primary liaison for the CFO, ensuring professional and responsive communication that aligns Finance and Corporate Functions globally.
  • Executive Office Coordination & Initiative Support: Act as the central coordination point for CFO-related activities, aligning calendars and priorities across senior stakeholders. Support delivery of key initiatives and maintain visibility of evolving priorities.
  • Travel, Administration & Operations: Manage complex global travel arrangements, including contingency planning. Oversee expenses, purchase orders, and document management in compliance with policy. Provide ad hoc support to the CFO Executive team as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement & Productivity: Drive enhancements in Executive Office processes by leveraging digital tools and AI-enabled solutions to improve workflow efficiency and collaboration within the wider EA/PA team.
  • Confidentiality & Judgement: Handle highly sensitive financial and strategic information with absolute discretion. Demonstrate professionalism, resilience, and sound judgement in a fast-paced, complex environment.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world-class safety culture.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
