About the Role

Looking for flexible work that fits around your existing commitments?

We are seeking qualified Exams Access Arrangements (EAA) Assessors to join our Additional Learning Support team on a zero-hours basis. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced professionals who are looking to undertake assessment work alongside other employment, consultancy work, or private practice.

With assessments required throughout the academic year, this role offers the flexibility to accept work around your availability while supporting learners to access the arrangements they need to achieve their full potential.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conducting Exam Access Arrangement assessments for learners in accordance with current JCQ regulations.
  • Completing and maintaining accurate documentation, including Form 8 and other required assessment records.
  • Reviewing learner information, support plans, and EHCPs to determine appropriate access arrangements.
  • Working closely with Additional Learning Support and Exams teams to ensure timely and compliant processing of assessment evidence.
  • Advising staff on normal ways of working and supporting the gathering of evidence for access arrangements.
  • Keeping up to date with JCQ guidance, legislation, and best practice relating to exam access arrangements.

Requirements

  • A Level 7 SpLD qualification with Exam Access Arrangements, or an equivalent qualification recognized for JCQ assessment purposes.
  • A teaching qualification such as Cert Ed, PGCE, or Level 5 Teaching Qualification.
  • Experience of carrying out Exam Access Arrangement assessments and producing supporting documentation, including Form 8.
  • A strong understanding of SEND, learning barriers, and effective support strategies.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills.
  • The ability to work independently while building positive relationships with staff and learners.
