Hybrid EAP Counsellor

£30,000 per annum DOE
Glasgow

Compass Associates is delighted to be partnering exclusively with a leading provider of employee health and wellbeing services, supporting organisations and their people across the UK and internationally. Its EAP division provides 24/7 confidential support, including counselling, mental health support and wellbeing services, delivered through a clinically led and well-governed service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial clinical assessments and triage client needs.
  • Deliver brief, focused support through booked assessments, in-the-moment support and single-session interventions via telephone and video, helping clients with a range of personal and work-related concerns.
  • Complete thorough risk assessments, identify safeguarding concerns and follow established clinical risk and safeguarding protocols, using sound clinical judgement while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Manage a structured counselling caseload alongside assessment work, providing time-limited support in line with the needs of the client and the wider service.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a busy, supportive clinical team, managing a high-volume workload while maintaining strong communication, organisation, time management and clinical standards.

Requirements

  • Level 4 or above counselling qualification
  • Professional membership with a recognised counselling body, such as BACP, COSCA or BABCP
  • Appropriate clinical supervision in place
  • Experience managing risk and maintaining appropriate professional boundaries
  • Strong IT skills and confidence typing while speaking
  • Ability to work effectively and remain clinically sound within a fast-paced, high-volume assessment environment
