We are currently looking for an EAP Tutor to join our busy team in Keele (Staffordshire, England) and help international students develop the academic skills they need to thrive. This is an exciting contract opportunity with hourly paid sessions and the chance to make learning feel purposeful, practical, and motivating.

Hours of Work: Part time, Fixed Term Contract

EAP Tutor Duties:

  • You will deliver engaging teaching across Pre-sessional, English and Academic Skills modules (FE/HE)
  • Facilitate seminars and assessments
  • Provide high-quality marking and feedback
  • Monitor student attendance and engagement
  • Support student success through effective coordination with College Services and Academic Mentors
  • Depending on your experience, you may also contribute to module leadership responsibilities, quality assurance activities (including standardisation and moderation), and module reporting duties that drive improvement and outcomes.

EAP Tutor Requirements:

  • Previous teaching experience in a related field
  • A University degree; preferably a Master's (or equivalent) or higher
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and students from diverse cultural and educational backgrounds
  • Good IT, administration, data analysis and presentation skills

EAP Tutor Benefits:

  • Salary
  • Hourly rate for contact classroom hours: £28 - £48 (depending on qualification level, teaching experience and additional module leadership responsibilities)
  • Additional duties, meetings, and marking paid separately
  • Programme Leadership pay set at £15.50 for 3 hours per week
  • Holiday pay is not included in the above pay rates and will be calculated at a rate of 12.07%
  • Access to staff training, professional development sessions, and Learning and Teaching conferences
