Primary Early Career Teacher (ECT): Flexible Supply Teaching

Are you a Primary Early Career Teacher (ECT) looking for flexibility, variety, and the chance to gain hands-on classroom experience across EYFS, Key Stage 1, or Key Stage 2?

Whether you want to test out different local primary schools to find your perfect long-term fit, or simply want to focus on nurturing young minds without the stress of endless planning and marking, we want to hear from you.

At Randstad Education, we are currently recruiting for Primary ECTs to support local schools across Chester and the surrounding areas. We have a wide range of flexible opportunities available, from day-to-day cover to stable, long-term class teacher roles.

What You'll Be Doing (Responsibilities)

  • Delivering engaging, pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, or KS2.
  • Creating a warm, positive, and structured learning environment where young children can thrive.
  • Using positive behavior management strategies aligned with the school's ethos.
  • Leaving clear, helpful handovers for the permanent class teacher at the end of the day.

What We Need From You (Requirements)

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a recognised UK primary teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd).
  • Experience or training across Primary age groups (EYFS, KS1, or KS2).
  • An Enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness for one with our help).
  • A passion for primary education and a patient, adaptable approach.
