My client, a leading global law firm, with an excellent reputation within corporate and commercial law, is looking to hire an Early Careers Advisor to join their wider HR team in London.
This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious HR or Early Careers professional to join a highly regarded international law firm during a period of continued growth. Working closely with the Early Careers Manager and wider People team, you will play a key role in attracting, developing, and supporting future legal talent, including trainees, apprentices, vacation scheme students, and future joiners.
The successful candidate will enjoy a varied role spanning recruitment, talent development, programme management, employee relations, and stakeholder engagement. You will have the opportunity to build strong relationships across the business and contribute to the firm's long-term talent strategy.
Joining a collaborative and people-focused HR function, you will support the full early careers lifecycle, helping to deliver an exceptional candidate and employee experience from attraction through to qualification.
This role offers exposure to a broad range of responsibilities, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to further develop their career within legal HR, graduate recruitment, or early careers talent management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and support the delivery of recruitment initiatives for trainee and apprentice programmes.
- Organise and oversee recruitment events, including insight days, open evenings, assessment centres, skills workshops, university events, and vacation schemes.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery.
- Screen applications and support assessment and selection processes.
- Coordinate interview and assessment centre logistics.
- Manage candidate communications, including offer and rejection processes.
- Support the creation of engaging content for social media, careers websites, and employer branding initiatives.
- Represent the firm at external recruitment events and networking opportunities.
- Support trainees, apprentices, and future joiners throughout their journey with the firm.
- Coordinate onboarding and pre-employment activities, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience.
- Organise induction programmes and pre-arrival engagement initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with future talent cohorts and act as a trusted point of contact.
- Provide day-to-day HR support, monitoring absence, wellbeing, performance, and development matters.
- Assist with employee relations issues, workplace adjustments, and policy guidance.
- Manage seat rotation and qualification processes, ensuring smooth transitions throughout training contracts.
- Coordinate international and client secondment arrangements where required.
- Support newly qualified solicitor processes and admission requirements.
- Maintain accurate employee records and data within the HR system.
- Produce reports and management information relating to talent programmes and key people metrics.
- Develop and update HR guidance materials, templates, and process documentation.
- Contribute to wider HR and business projects focused on talent, inclusion, engagement, and process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation and best practice.
- Keep up to date with developments in graduate recruitment, apprenticeships, and early careers programmes.
- Build effective relationships with partners, business services leaders, supervisors, and external providers.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance the overall trainee and apprentice experience.

- Previous experience within Early Careers, Graduate Recruitment, Talent, HR, or a related people-focused environment.
- Strong organisational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines simultaneously.
- High levels of attention to detail and accuracy.
- A genuine passion for talent development and supporting future professionals.
