Ready to help shape the next generation of Bensons talent?

At Bensons, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and build a career they can be proud of. That's where you come in!

We're looking for an Early Careers & Apprenticeship Specialist to join our Learning & Development team on a maternity cover basis. You'll play a key role in managing our apprenticeship programmes across the business, while also helping us deliver exciting early careers initiatives.

From supporting an apprentice on their first day to helping them reach the finish line, you'll be there throughout the journey — making sure our learners and managers have the support they need to succeed.

What will you be doing?

You'll be the go-to person for all things apprenticeships and early careers, including:

  • Managing apprenticeship activity across our Retail and Manufacturing teams, making sure everything runs smoothly and our levy funding is used effectively.
  • Coordinating apprentices throughout their journey, from application and onboarding through to completion.
  • Working closely with apprentices, managers, People Partners and training providers to make sure everyone gets the support they need.
  • Keeping track of learner progress, spotting any challenges early and helping to remove barriers.
  • Managing our apprenticeship records, systems and Digital Apprenticeship Service (DAS) activity, ensuring everything is accurate and up to date.
  • Building strong relationships with our training providers and early careers partners.
  • Supporting early careers initiatives such as work experience, workplace visits, site visits, university placements and other programmes.
  • Supporting DWP Youth Jobs Grant and Youth Guarantee activity.
  • Helping with wider Learning & Development activity, including corporate and support-function inductions.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
