The Role

At AMS, we’re building teams that are curious, collaborative, and committed to doing great work. We’re looking for an Early Careers Assessment Centre Recruiter who enjoys learning and values teamwork.

If you’re good at candidate assessment, interviewing and coaching, and excited to grow in a supportive environment, you might be exactly who we’re looking for.

This is a Fixed-Term Contract opportunity from 1 October to 31 January, with the possibility of extension until the end of March, and is fully remote within the United Kingdom.

You’ll join a collaborative early careers recruitment team, working closely with recruiters, coordinators, team leads, managers, and offshore colleagues to assess graduate and undergraduate talent and provide an exceptional candidate experience throughout the recruitment journey.

Key Accountabilities

Recruitment Delivery

  • Use your candidate assessment skills to facilitate virtual assessment centres and evaluate candidates against agreed frameworks.
  • Apply your interviewing, coaching, and communication skills to conduct interviews, prepare candidates for final-stage assessments, and deliver feedback.
  • Use your facilitation skills to lead virtual group exercises and support a fair and engaging candidate experience.
  • Assess candidate performance across interviews, group exercises, and written assessments to support informed hiring decisions.
  • Lead assessment centre wash-up discussions and collaborate with colleagues to determine candidate outcomes.
  • Use your candidate management skills to answer queries, communicate offers, and deliver a positive recruitment experience.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

  • Collaborate with recruiters, coordinators, team leads, and offshore colleagues to deliver recruitment activities efficiently and consistently.
  • Build effective working relationships with stakeholders and contribute to a collaborative team culture.

Technology & Compliance

  • Use recruitment systems and reporting tools to maintain accurate candidate records and support data integrity.
  • Apply your organisational and compliance skills to ensure recruitment activities meet agreed timelines, governance standards, and legislative requirements.

Skills & Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability in end-to-end recruitment delivery, ideally within high-volume recruitment environments.
  • Strength in candidate assessment and interviewing, with the ability to evaluate candidates against structured competency or behavioural frameworks.
  • Experience facilitating interviews, training sessions, workshops, assessment activities, or candidate-facing events.
  • Ability to assess candidate performance across multiple assessment methods, including interviews, group exercises, and written assessments.
  • Strength in coaching and feedback delivery, with confidence conducting candidate-facing conversations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport and engage effectively with candidates and colleagues.
  • Ability to make objective, evidence-based recommendations and hiring decisions.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with recruitment technology, applicant tracking systems, or strong learning agility to quickly learn new systems.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative, and candidate-focused environment.
