Description

EQ is proud to be part of the Sumer Group, one of the UK’s fastest-growing accountancy practices. Together, we’re creating brighter futures for our people, our clients, and our communities.

We’re now inviting applications for our Early Careers Internship Programme. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or advance their career in the field of accounting or business services.

Role Overview

You’ll be joining a friendly, professional team where enthusiasm, curiosity and commitment are valued as highly as experience.

We are seeking people who are enthusiastic, willing to learn and develop their understanding of a career in Accountancy. Through hands on experience in real-world accounting and financial practices, networking opportunities and an abundance of mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals, our Interns feel equipped for the world of work and excited to join us on this career path.

We recognise that our people are our key resource and we offer a professionally rewarding career, with an emphasis on continued professional development to ensure you can fulfil your potential. After successfully completing your internship, we will have a discussion with you on what your next steps would be towards becoming a Chartered Accountant and how you can grow your future with EQ.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
