We’re now inviting applications for our Early Careers Internship Programme. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to start or advance their career in the field of accounting or business services.
Role Overview
You’ll be joining a friendly, professional team where enthusiasm, curiosity, and commitment are valued as highly as experience.
We are seeking people who are enthusiastic, willing to learn, and develop their understanding of a career in Accountancy. Through hands-on experience in real-world accounting and financial practices, networking opportunities, and an abundance of mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals, our Interns feel equipped for the world of work and excited to join us on this career path.

After successfully completing your internship, we will have a discussion with you on what your next steps would be towards becoming a Chartered Accountant and how you can grow your future with EQ.

About You
If you are in your 3rd year of studies at university and considering a Graduate program once you graduate and are looking to start training towards becoming a Chartered Accountant, we want to hear from you!
To apply, you’ll need:
- A strong A-Level or equivalent academic history, including a minimum of a Grade C/5 in English and B/6 in Maths at GCSE level (or equivalent).
- An effective communicator – confident in listening and expressing ideas clearly with clients and colleagues.
- Collaborative – a team player who enjoys sharing ideas and working together to achieve great results.
- Time efficient – able to balance workloads with good organisation and prioritisation.
- A problem solver – curious, adaptable, and ready to take on challenges.
- Results focused – proud to deliver a high standard of work and service.
- Keen to learn – enthusiastic about developing your skills and career.
The Process

- Deadline for completing online tests: 27th October
- Assessment Centre: The assessment centre for this role will be held on 11th November at our Glenrothes office.
