Description
DPC Accountants, part of the Sumer Group, are looking to appoint an Accounts Semi-Senior to join their growing team in Stoke-on-Trent.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant who is AAT Level 3 or 4 qualified/studying and looking to develop their career within a well-established accountancy firm.
The Role
As an Accounts Semi-Senior, you will work closely with a portfolio of clients and be responsible for:
- Preparing year-end accounts and financial statements
- Producing management accounts
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Assisting with bookkeeping and general accounts work
- Dealing with client queries and building strong client relationships
- Supporting more senior members of the team
- Working across a range of accounting software, including Sage, Xero and QuickBooks

The Person
We are looking for someone with:
- AAT Level 3 or Level 4, or currently studying towards AAT/ACA/ACCA
- Previous accountancy practice experience – essential
- Experience preparing accounts and VAT returns
- Good technical accounting knowledge
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach and willingness to develop
- Experience with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or IRIS would be advantageous
