Are you currently studying AAT Level 3 or Level 4 and looking to take the next step in your accountancy career? We're looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team and continue building their skills in a supportive and professional practice environment.
This role is ideal for someone who has gained some experience within an accountancy practice and is keen to develop their technical knowledge while progressing towards their AAT qualification. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of accounting work, including accounts preparation, bookkeeping, VAT returns and supporting senior team members with client assignments.
Working alongside experienced professionals, you'll receive ongoing training, coaching and development to help you grow in confidence and capability. You'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, develop strong professional relationships and gain valuable hands-on experience across a variety of industries.
This is an excellent opportunity to continue your studies while developing practical accountancy skills, taking on increasing responsibility and building the foundations for a successful long-term career in practice.

The Programme
You’ll have the opportunity to continue your professional development while gaining valuable hands-on experience with a varied client portfolio. We’ll support your ongoing studies towards your AAT Level 3 or Level 4 qualification, helping you build on your existing knowledge and progress your career in accountancy.
Alongside your studies, you'll become part of the Sumer Academy – our dedicated learning and development programme. The Academy complements your qualification studies with a blend of online, virtual and in-person learning, designed to strengthen both your technical accounting knowledge and the professional skills needed to succeed in practice.
You'll also be part of a group-wide learning community, connecting with colleagues from across the Sumer Group to share experiences, develop your network and learn from others at similar stages of their careers.
To be successful in this role, you'll ideally be studying towards AAT Level 3 or Level 4 and have gained some experience within an accountancy practice environment.
